Keynote Presentation and Dinner We are happy and proud to announce that Charllotte Kwon, of Maiwa Textiles (http://maiwa.com/), will be our Keynote Speaker on Friday evening, July 20, 2007. She will be speaking to the Festival's theme for this year: "In Praise of Hands," and will talk about "the history, lineage, preservation, skill, mastery and beauty that comes from the creative actions of hands, mind and heart." Those of you who've had a chance to see Charlotte's beautiful films on her work with indigenous communities' textile artists will look forward to the slides she'll be using in her presentation. As well, we'll have the great good fortune of seeing a selection of Charlotte's collection of exquisite traditional textiles. The dinner for the event will once again be hosted in Stowell Lake Farm's wonderful garden, with Charlotte's presentation following, upstairs in the Barn.
